Aerial videos of the large crowd show people tightly packed together with no social distancing practices apparent. In Texas, four parks in Travis County closed after reaching capacity, according to CNN affiliate KEYE. In Playa Del Rey, California, the beach wasn't packed but cyclists made good use of the path with masks to boot.

Investigators said around 4 p.m., a group of friends was on a boat just off East Beach on Lake Conroe. However, the Montgomery County Commissioners Court approved the purchase of side-scan sonar for the boat. In about an hour, officials said they were able to find the victim’s body in shallow water.
