An investigation is underway after an off-duty Patton Village police officer and worker were injured in a hit-and-run on Katy Freeway near Highway 6 Sunday, authorities said.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – An aircraft crashed Sunday, killing two people in a residential neighborhood in Montgomery County, according to authorities. The victims have been identified as pilot Nidal Aoki, 41, of Porter, Texas and passenger Karthik Balakrishnan, 46 of Pearland. Siddiqi said the fatal crash left him heartbroken.
