Osuna joined the Astros during the 2018 season in a highly controversial deadline trade with Osuna serving a domestic violence suspension. Osuna pitched in parts of three seasons for Houston, pitching to a 2.45 ERA in 93 regular-season games with 51 saves. He racked up three postseason saves for the Astros but struggled to hold runners off the board. Osuna’s injury in 2020 kept him out for most of the year with him pitching in just four games.

The Astros fell into an 0-3 hole in the AL Championship Series before beating the Tampa Bay Rays in three straight games to force a Game 7. But their powerful offense was stifled by former Astros pitcher Charlie Morton in a 4-2 loss, and the Astros are heading home instead of to their second straight World Series. “I haven’t really thought about that yet,” the 2017 World Series MVP said.
