Big news hit 94.5 The Buzz airwaves this morning when local radio legend Rod Ryan was surprised live on air with an announcement years in the making: Rod has been officially nominated for the Texas Radio Hall of Fame Class of 2025.

Rod Ryan visited the Houston Life studio to continue his morning conversation on the radio with Derrick today.

HOUSTON – Dinah Powers, the former co-host of a Houston morning-drive radio show, has died after battling cancer. Powers appeared on KPRC 2′s Houston Life show several times alongside host Derrick Shore. “We truly loved every time she would come see us at Houston Life and we hope she knows just how much we miss her already.”Shore shared this video on his Facebook page in September upon learning of Powers’ cancer diagnosis.
