Man wanted in fatal shooting of his ex-wifeโs new boyfriend in Sienna turns himself in
SIENNA, Texas โ A man being sought in connection with Mondayโs fatal shooting in Sienna has turned himself in to authorities. Fort Bend County Sheriff Troy Nehls said Matthew Reshon Jacobs, 32, surrendered to authorities at the Missouri City Police Department. Jacobs is accused of gunning down his ex-wifeโs new boyfriend outside a home in the 2500 block of Amethyst Isle Lane and then fleeing the scene. Nehls said Jacobs followed his ex-wife and her new boyfriend into the neighborhood and then an argument began. Nehls said surveillance video showed the fatal shooting, which he described as an โexecution.โDeputies have identified the victim as 28-year-old Martez Hurt.
Former Fort Bend County sheriffโs deputy charged in death of deputy constable
HOUSTON โ A former Fort Bend County sheriffโs deputy has been charged with criminal negligent homicide in the shooting death of a 37-year-old deputy constable in the Sienna Plantation area of Missouri City in May. Chadwick Devin McRae, 49, of Stafford, is charged in the death of Caleb Rule, records show. The Fort Bend County Sheriffโs Office released a statement about McRae, saying he was terminated following an internal investigation due to violation of the officeโs Use of Force Policy as it related to Ruleโs death. โThis situation is tragic,โ Fort Bend County District Attorney Brian M. Middleton said. And the death of Deputy Rule, who was on duty serving his community at the time of his death, is an unbearable loss for his wife, children, and extended family.โThe Fort Bend County Sheriffโs Office referred questions to the Texas Rangers, as the lead investigative agency, and the Fort Bend County District Attorneyโs Office.

Fort Bend County Precinct 4 deputy constable killed by friendly fire from sheriffโs deputy, officials say
SIENNA PLANTATION, Texas โ A deputy constable has died after a Fort Bend County sheriffโs deputy accidentally shot him in the Sienna Plantation area of Missouri City Friday, officials said. Officials said the incident happened at around 1:40 a.m. at a home in the 3900 block of Chestnut Bend. According to authorities, the deputy with Fort Bend Sheriffโs Office and a deputy with the Fort Bend Precinct 4 Constableโs Office were clearing a house together when the FBCSO deputy accidentally shot the deputy from the constableโs office. Officials said they received a call for a vacant property check-in at Sienna Plantation after a neighbor called and said she saw someone running down the street, though it was suspicious. Nehls said one point of the investigation will be what type of communication there was between Rule and the sheriffโs deputies.
Sienna couple creates small business to make face masks while out of work
โPeople need all these masks and weโre making them.โWith posts on social media and now a website, business is booming. In two days, they recently cut 3,500 masks for customers ranging from individuals, small businesses and the military. "We sent 300 to the navy so far," Micahl Wyckoff said. Neighbors call for action after Sienna Plantation home hit by vehicle for fifth time
A house in Sienna Plantation has been hit by vehicles at least five times, according to neighbors. The property is situated at the end of a cul-de-ce, Steep Bank Passage, in Fort Bend County. Neighbors shared photos of when a driver crashed straight through the front of the house and into the master bedroom closet. โNow most of them hit the brake, and they turn the corner and go back,โ he said. The Fort Bend County Road & Bridge department were in the neighborhood Friday assessing the intersection, residents said.
Sienna Plantation residents worry well water causing skin rashes
HOUSTON โ Residents expressed their concern that the drinking water in Sienna Plantation is causing rashes for people bathing in it and drinking it. In the meantime, well water is being provided by another party, although Missouri City remains ultimately responsible for the water in Sienna Plantation. The areas affected are Sienna Plantation, portions of Riverstone in Missouri City and the Colony Lakes Subdivision. After the change in water occurred, some residents said they noticed the water smelled like chemicals and even felt slimy. A spokeswoman for Missouri City says the cityโs water plant only supplies wholesale treated surface water to municipal water districts or MUDS who are responsible for supplying water to customers and ratepayers.

SIENNA PLANTATION, Texas โ Parents in Sienna Plantation are worried about the water their kids are drinking and bathing in. In recent days, residents said the water has had a strange smell and taste. โWhen the water is turned on, it has a really strong chemical smell like sulfur,โ said resident Kimberly Robertshaw. Missouri City is in charge of the water in Sienna Plantation. In the meantime, residents in Sienna Plantation, areas of Riverstone and the Colony Lakes subdivision are receiving well water.
