At approximately 7 p.m. Sunday, Montgomery County deputies were dispatched to the Creekside ATV Park on I-69 in Splendora on a report of entrapment and a request for a rescue. On arrival, units located the child and the ATV near the back of the park in an area only accessible by ATV. The four-year-old was unresponsive. According to authorities, CPR was administered immediately and medics worked to revive the child for some time.

The video shows Montes side-swipe Martin's car and swerving all over the road. "Chill out bro, I got a kid, I have a baby in the car," Martin is heard saying in the video. Armando Montes, 30, faces two second-degree felonies after allegedly hitting a car and a motocryclist in a road rage incident in Splendora on Nov. 26, 2019. It turns out he was right to be concerned as the video shows Montes swerving across three lanes, striking a motorcyclist.

A Splendora player had taken a Tarkington player to the ground during the play. DeSpain said it looked to him like the Splendora player, Matteo Sloan, was choking the other boy. The constable would not talk on camera, but told Local 2 on the phone, "Appeared to me they were fighting." One of the game's referees told Local 2 that he hasn't seen anything like it in more than 20 years of officiating high school football.
