A woman who went to get some relief at a spa in Katy found herself more stressed than when she walked in after somehow ending up with a $3,000 loan she says she never signed up for.

“These companies are betting that customers will be too impatient, busy, or confused to jump through every hoop,” FTC Chair Lina Khan said.
