A five-acre tract of undeveloped property in northeast Houston, covered in trees and overgrown vegetation, has been thrust into the middle of a worldwide surrogacy escrow company theft scandal after what an attorney calls a “forged” transfer of the property deed.

More than a dozen new families are now suing Houston-based Surrogacy Escrow Account Management and owner Dominique Side, nearly two months after the escrow firm suddenly collapsed and allegations surfaced that Side stole the money to fund a lavish lifestyle.

More families plan to join a lawsuit against Houston-based Surrogacy Escrow Account Management LLC, or SEAM—a company owned by Dominique Side, which is accused of defrauding intended parents out of millions, KPRC 2 has learned.

A temporary injunction has been granted by a judge in a lawsuit against Surrogacy Escrow Account Management LLC, also known as SEAM, and it’s owner, Dominique Side.

Surrogacy Escrow Account Management LLC or SEAM, and owner Dominique Side, has gone dark since mid-June when the company appears to have abruptly shut down and told clients legal actions forced operations to be placed on hold.
