The incident happened Wednesday in the Terranova subdivision on Slashwood Lane in northwest Harris County, authorities said. Authorities said the 16-year-old was arrested last year in connection with assaulting his grandfather, resulting in severe injuries that ultimately lead to his death, police said. The teen’s grandmother is in stable condition, officials said.

HOUSTON – Police said a teen is dead after he was shot while inside a home with his family in north Houston.
