Although they aren't Texas teams per say, Dallas-Fort Worth area Texas High School Football won't go unrepresented. Before playing in the NFL, Mahomes had an outstanding career with the Texas Tech football program. AdArmani Watts - North ForneyArmani Watts, S, WR, North Forney, Class of 2014Watts proved to be a force to be reckoned with for North Forney on both ends of the football. With McKinney North, Jones totaled 4,810 rushing yards and 73 touchdowns on 541 carries.
Westlake Advances to State Championship

Galena Park North Shore, the two-time Division I State Champs, vs the Division II State Champs Austin Westlake. North Shore, led by Auburn signee Demetrius Davis and Texas A&M Signee Shadrach Banks, ran into a stingy Westlake defense that kept the explosive North Shore offense in check. Westlake ends the reign of North Shore and will face Southlake Carroll in the 6A Division I State Championship game on Saturday at AT&T Stadium. The State Championship will be a House Divided, as Westlake Head Coach Todd Dodge will face his dad Riley Dodge, who helms the ship at Southlake Carroll.

KatyWith Seven Lakes taking the final Division I spot out of District 19-6A, Katy got sent to the Division II bracket this year. The last time the Tigers won a state crown, which was back in 2015, it came in the DII bracket. The services of Davis & Davis will be leaned on.

VYPE even recognized him as the best football recruit in the Austin area in January. On Tuesday, the UIL announced a new calendar for fall sports but it is split. Class 1A-4A will be allowed to start on time, while Class 5A and 6A will be pushed back a month into September. Practice for football and volleyball teams will begin August 3, while volleyball will start games August 10 and football on August 27, like it was originally scheduled. According to High School Football America there are 13 states that have adjusted the start of the 2020 football season.

It started with the 2019 Texas high school football season, when he recorded his best year to date with 4,982 yards and 75 touchdowns. The buzz continued in 2020 because college baseball programs were starting to show more interest in his athletic abilities and fans wanted an encore during the Texas high school baseball season. Before he relocates to the Forty Acres, Whitehead is hoping for high school sports to start and end around their normal time so he can accomplish more in his hometown. "I know that our senior class really wants to give it our all one last time for Lampasas."
