Residents of a northwest Houston neighborhood are tired of living next to a vacant home that has become a neighborhood eyesore and nuisance.

Vacant and abandoned properties are a problem in several neighborhoods across the Houston-area. Currently, the City of Houston’s Department of Neighborhoods has a list of 1,061 residential properties listed as “dangerous buildings.”

The family of the children who were abandoned in west Harris County are raising the alarm that people are posing as the kids' relatives in order to collect fraudulent donations, KPRC 2 has learned.
