The incident occurred on July 3 at the Ganges River. The dolphin, later identified as a Ganges river dolphin, was listed as Endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature and protected by the Indian Wildlife Act. When it became entangled by the fishing net, a massive crowd gathered at the area to get a glimpse of the mammal. Once the fisherman saw the dolphin, he carried the mammal safely and released it back into the water.

According to mySA.com, Micah Harless, of Weatherford, reeled in a tiger shark with the help of his father. Dolphin Docks Deep Sea Fishing, the charter boating company the teenager was on, shared the news on its Facebook page. The tiger shark was 11 feet, 6 inches long and weighed 844 pounds. An employee with Dolphin Docks Deep Sea Fishing told mySA.com the meat was split between approximately 14 people who were on the charter boat.

He came prepared with an 11-inch sucker because big bait attracts big fish, he said. Knight, of Meredith, New Hampshire, caught a lake trout last Tuesday that weighed in at 37.65 pounds, easily breaking the state record that was more than 60 years old. After catching the fish, he immediately packed it in an ice box with snow and called the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department. "This fish is now the largest lake trout caught in all of New England," Schafermeyer said.

The tentative dates for rainbow trout stocking along the tailrace are Dec. 6, 13, 20 and 27, as well as Jan. 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31. “Rainbow trout stockings begin around Thanksgiving in Bexar County and will continue through February,” a TPWD spokesperson told KSAT. Thousands of rainbow trout will also be stocked in four lakes around San Antonio this season, including Southside Lions and Miller’s Pond. A total of 343,650 rainbow trout will be stocked in lakes and ponds across Texas for the 2019-2020 trout stocking season, TPWD reported.
