A north Houston homeowner says he called CenterPoint Energy almost weekly -- trying to get them to remove limbs that fell on a power line in July when Hurricane Beryl hit the area.

A northeast Houston man is considering taking out a loan to rebuild his roof after his insurance dropped him.

Three heat-related deaths have been reported after Hurricane Beryl knocked out more than 2.1 million customers' power, according to the Harris County Institute of Forensic Science.

Acting Governor Dan Patrick announced Friday that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has approved the Major Disaster Declaration for Hurricane Beryl to include 15 Texas counties he requested for FEMA’s Individual Assistance program.
