Dr. Robert Bullard is a distinguished professor of Urban Planning and Environmental Policy at TSU. His goal is to make sure everyone has the right to live, work and play in a clean environment. Dr. Bullard said the environmental justice movement also relates to the Black Lives Matter Movement and the death of Houston Native George Floyd. Dr. Bullard said just this month, TSU received a $1.25 million grant from the Houston Endowment to start the Robert D. Bullard Center for Environmental and Climate Justice.

HOUSTON – Shanashee Yarber is asking for the public’s help in finding the person responsible for the death of her son, Donnie Glover III. According to the Houston Police Department, the 24-year old was found shot to death Tuesday at about 1 a.m. at an apartment complex located at 4045 Linkwood Drive. Yarber believes the people responsible set Glover up to steal his 2020 Dodge Charger. “I believe he went to go and meet up with someone and I believe they brought him there under circumstances meant to harm him,” Yarber said. LA MARQUE, Texas – It’s been a month since Joshua Feast was shot and killed in La Marque, Texas. On Saturday, Civil Rights Attorney Ben Crump, the NAACP, George Floyd’s brother, Pamela Turner’s sister and Danny Thomas marched with people in the La Marque community. Feast was shot and killed by La Marque police officer Jose Santos on Dec. 9. Crump said too many black men are shot while running away. People in the La Marque community say they’re making sure Joshua’s name and legacy live on.

HOUSTON – KPRC 2 Investigates reviewed thousands of felony cases where a probationer was “unsatisfactorily” terminated from their probation. Court records show Talamantes had two prior DWI cases on his record and the most recent one ended with unsatisfactory termination of probation. Court records show the second DWI was in 2014. Court records show he was brought back to jail twice, had his “SOBER court conditions amended” and given an extra day in jail as punishment. Court records show a second judge tried to get Crawford to comply with all conditions, before voluntarily recusing himself from the case.
