Potholes are plaguing a southwest Houston post office.

Answer: After speaking with the city’s traffic department, Traffic Expert Anavid Reyes learned Houston Public Works continues to provide routine maintenance to Gellhorn Drive, including pothole repairs and panel replacements. Houston Public Works uses the pavement condition index, international roughness index and traffic volume data, as well as 311 call data to determine which streets need immediate rehabilitation and reconstruction. The community is urged to report potholes and street repair requests to 311.

CROSBY, Texas – A toddler was released from Memorial Hermann Children’s Hospital on Wednesday afternoon after a popcorn kernel was lodged in his throat last week. According to Natalie Ruiz, her 19-month-old son, Noah Martinez, was eating popcorn with his brother, when he began choking. Graves said her team struggled to reach Noah due to the treacherous conditions on West Crosby Street. According to Graves, the team made the call to airlift Noah to the hospital. The spokesperson also said it would be illegal for the county to work on the road, but they will be reaching out to the owner.
