Texas explains requirements after social media posts suggest vaccine was open to all
HOUSTON โ Despite some social media posts, the Texas Division of Emergency Management said certain COVID-19 vaccination events in Liberty and Matagorda counties will not be open to almost anyone. The doses initially went to folks who are homebound, as well as those 65 and older, said TDEM spokesman Seth Christensen. People ages 50 to 64 are part of group 1C in Texas, which is open for vaccination. Also on Thursday, a post on the Matagorda County Emergency Operation Centerโs Facebook page discussed a vaccination event at the county fairgrounds scheduled for Thursday and Friday. Christensen said nothing has changed in terms of which population groups have been approved to receive the vaccine.

I also have a very curvy body type and so many influencers that I saw, they just were petite. A big hair Instagram account reposted one of those pictures about two years ago and Jones started picking up followers from all over. According to the BBB, sharing a photo of a vaccination card poses a threat of identity theft as it displays self-identifying information including a personโs full name, date of birth, and where they received the COVID-19 vaccine. Additionally, the BBB warns that photos of COVID-19 vaccination cards shared on social media can help scammers create phony versions. Scammers in Great Britain were caught selling fake vaccination cards on eBay and TikTok,โ the BBB said in a release. Parler, free speech and the role of big tech
HOUSTON โ After a steady rise in popularity, the social media site Parler disappeared over the course of a weekend. Many media analysts view what happened to the site as a test case for shaping what role big tech may play in policing speech on the internet. Parler was founded in 2018 but exploded in popularity in the run-up to the 2020 election. Laster said she is uncomfortable with large tech companies involved in decisions on what is allowed speech. However, KPRC 2 Legal Analyst Brian Wice said free speech only applies to the government, not private business.
