HOUSTON – One person is dead after a crash on the Eastex Freeway at Hopper Road Monday, authorities said.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said on Twitter that the southbound lanes will be shut down for about two hours, but have since reopened and the wreck has been cleared.

A driver was pulled from a Toyota SUV after the vehicle rear-ended a pickup truck and crashed into the center wall. The driver died of injuries at the hospital.
