Southwest Freeway Weekend Closure
If you live in Fort Bend County and will be heading to Lights in the Heights, there is a road closure on the Southwest Freeway to keep in mind. The northbound and southbound lanes of I-69 from Sweetwater Blvd to Sugar Lakes Dr will be closed. According to the Texas Department of Transportation, this is a part of the ongoing construction of the I-69 Oyster Creek Bridge. The lanes will close Friday night and last through Monday morning at 5 am to perform a traffic switch.
If you would like to get around it, you can take the following detours:
- NB Travelers: Exit at the Sugar Lakes Dr. Follow the feeder to re-enter I-69.
- SB Travelers: Exit at SH-6. Follow the feeder road to re-enter I-69.
Have a wonderful weekend and stay safe on the roads!🚕🏍🚲
