It is time to show your H-town pride. The Chevron Houston Marathon is this weekend and thousands of runners are expected to hit the streets.

As you can imagine, there will be delays and closures surrounding the big event. The 5K will take place Saturday.
The Marathon and Aramco Houston Half Marathon will be Sunday.
People should expect delays prior to road closures for set-up. Delays can also be expected while crews are breaking down the track on Sunday.

Here are some of the streets that will be impacted by closures:
Freeway Closures
- 610 West Loop, southbound, exiting to Hidalgo/Richmond
- I-69 southbound exit to Newcastle
Half Marathon
- Montrose (SB) from Bissonnet to Dallas
- Montrose (NB) from Dallas to Allen Parkway
- Montrose from Bissonnet to Main/Mecom Fountain
- Main (SB) from Mecom Fountain to Bissonnet
- Bissonnet (EB) from Main to Montrose
Marathon
- Post Oak Blvd. (NB) from Richmond to San Felipe
- San Felipe (WB) from Post Oak Blvd. to Tanglewood Rd.
- Tanglewood Rd. (NB) from San Felipe to Chimney Rock Rd.
- Chimney Rock Rd. (NB) from Tanglewood to Woodway Dr.
- Chimney Rock Rd. (SB) from Woodway Dr. to Memorial Dr.
- Memorial Dr. (WB) from Chimney Rock Rd. to Loop 610
- Memorial Dr. (EB) from Loop 610 to Shepherd
- Shepherd (all lanes under overpass) from Memorial Dr. to Allen Parkway
- West Gray/Inwood from Waugh to Kirby
- Kirby (NB) from Inwood to San Felipe
- Kirby (SB) from San Felipe to Bissonnet
- Bissonnet from Kirby to Montrose
- Allen Parkway from Shepherd to Bagby
- Washington from Congress to Waugh

- Heads up! Expect pavement repairs on the north side. If you are heading on the I-45 North Freeway, the northbound connector ramp to the I-610 North Loop will be closed 9:00 p.m. Friday to 5:00 a.m. Monday.
