I-610 West Loop/ I-69 Southwest Freeway Interchange Project

If you are traveling on the west side of town, there is a major closure you need to know about. Starting Friday, March 22 at 9 pm the 610 West Loop northbound connector ramp to I-69 Southwest Freeway(NB) will be closed. This closure is expected to last for about three months.

TxDOT crews plan to demolish a portion of the existing ramp and redo a new section. To get the job done, all mainlanes of the 610 West Loop heading northbound at the Southwest Freeway will close Friday night through Monday morning. Since the I-69/I-610 interchange is a major connection point, police will be onsite to assist with traffic this weekend.

I-610/Cambridge Project

According to the Texas Department of Transportation, there will be multiple closures on the 610 South Loop EB/WB, along with SH-288 NB/SB. The closure is a part of the Texas Clear Lanes project at I-610 /Cambridge Street. Most closures are expected to end by Monday, March 25th. There will also be one long-term closure starting Friday. This time will allow crews to prep for the reconstruction of the 610 eastbound connector ramps to SH-288.

If you must head out during the time of these closures expect to see delays. Remember all closures are subject to change due to weather. Be careful when driving through work zones and look out for crews.
