National Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month
May is National Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month. According to the Texas Department of Transportation, motorcycle deaths are on the rise in Texas. Over the last year in the lone star state nearly 600 people riding motorcycles were killed in crashes. Let’s use this month as an opportunity to help prevent crashes. While on the road, be sure to stay alert, create space, and share the road while cruising to your destination.
US-90 Weekend Closure
Starting Friday at 9 pm The Texas Department of Transportation plans to close the feeder road of US-90 both eastbound and westbound at the Grand Parkway. During this time crews will work to install reinforced concrete boxes. The closure will last through Sunday until 4 pm.
