Go ATV Riding
Does your dad enjoy the thrill of adventure and love all things nature? Outside the city of Houston, there are several places he can catch a breeze and take a ride in an ATV. Popular rental companies in the area include Texas Premium Powersports, Texas ATV Rental, H-town ATV Rentals, and more. While this can be a fun activity, not paying attention could be dangerous. If you decide to participate in the fun, be sure to do it safely.
Here is your guide to ATV safety:
- Eyes up while riding and hands on the handle bar
- Keep your back straight and not tense
- Shift body weight forward while climbing hills
- Avoid sidehill scenarios
- Always wear protection gear
Rent a Slingshot
If you travel downtown, you are bound to drive by a Polaris Slingshot. The three-wheeled vehicle has become very popular for tourists, but this weekend could be a great time for dads to get in on the fun. Houston Slingshot Rental could be a great option. The company offers unlimited miles and self-guided tours. This experience is for those 21 and above. To rent you must have a valid driver’s license. If you decide to go this route, here are a few safety tips to keep in mind:
- Dress for the occasion
- Slow down on wet surfaces
- Keep hands on the wheel while on the road
- Ensure passengers understand all safety labels
Hit The Track
If your father has ever dreamed of picking up speed on a track, MSR Houston Karting features one of the largest outdoor tracks in the area. Dad can hit the track at 50 mph and even bring a group if you’d like to book a party. If luxury is more his speed, he could also experience the track in a Mercedes AMG. If you prefer to play it safe and ride indoors, K1 Speed could be another option. The location is great for the entire family and often offers specials online.
Happy Father’s Day!
