As we approach the weekend, we know that it’s time to anticipate weekend construction. If you live on the North side, there will be area repairs on the interstate.

Weekend Construction

The Texas Department of Transportation recently announced several closures that will kick off Friday night. This road work will be a continuation of roadway repairs at Beltway 8 and bridge repairs at I-45(North Freeway). Drivers should expect delays throughout the weekend. If you are traveling near work zones, take it slow and be on the lookout for crews and equipment. Since we are now in hurricane season, remember closures are subject to change due to adverse weather.

Big Closures

• I-45/North Freeway HOV Lane:

Closed from 9 p.m. Friday, June 28 until 4 a.m. Sunday, June 30

• I-45/North Freeway southbound entrance ramp from West Road:

Closed from 9 p.m. Friday, June 28 until 5 a.m. Monday, July 1

• I-45/North Freeway southbound between West and W. Mount Houston roads:

Multiple alternate lanes closed from 9 p.m. Friday, June 28 to 5 a.m. Monday, July 1.

• I-69/Eastex Freeway northbound connector ramp to Beltway 8 westbound:

Closed from 8 p.m. Friday, June 28 until 5 a.m. Monday, July 1

• I-69/Eastex Freeway southbound connector ramp to Beltway 8 westbound:

Closed from 8 p.m. Friday, June 28 to 5 a.m. Monday, July 1

• Beltway 8 eastbound main lanes between I-45/North Freeway and Imperial Valley Drive:

One left lane closed continuously from 8 p.m. Friday, June 28 to 5 a.m. Monday, July 1

• Beltway 8 eastbound entrance ramp from Imperial Valley Drive:

Closed from noon Wednesday, June 26 to 5 a.m. Monday, December 16

• Beltway 8 eastbound main lanes between Imperial Valley Drive and Aldine Westfield Road:

One left lane closed continuously from noon Wednesday, June 26 to 5 a.m. Monday, December 16

• Beltway 8 westbound entrance ramp from Lee Road:

Closed from 8 p.m. Friday, June 28 to 5 a.m. Monday, July 1

• Beltway 8 westbound main lanes between I-69/Eastex Freeway and the exit ramp to Hardy Toll Road/East Hardy Road:

Multiple alternate lanes closed from 9 p.m. Friday, June 28 to 5 a.m. Monday, July 1

• Beltway 8 westbound entrance ramp from John F. Kennedy Boulevard:

Closed from 8 p.m. on Friday, June 28 to 5 a.m. Monday, July 1

• Beltway 8 westbound main lanes between the exit to Aldine Westfield Road and Imperial Valley Drive:

Closed from 9 p.m. Friday, June 28 to 5 a.m. Monday, July 1

• Beltway 8 westbound main lanes between the exit to Hardy Toll Road/East Hardy Road and Imperial Valley Drive:

Closed from 9 p.m. Friday, June 28 to 5 a.m. Monday, July 1

• Beltway 8 westbound entrance ramp from Aldine Westfield Road:

Closed from 8 p.m. Friday, June 28 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, December 16
