Huge crack closes a portion of I-10 headed from Beaumont into Houston

Traffic is being diverted off the highway at the Washington Boulevard exit, Southbound.

BEAUMONT – A huge crack has opened up on Interstate 10 in the Beaumont area and it’s on the Southbound side headed toward Houston.

Traffic is being diverted off I-10 at Washington Boulevard -- that exit is currently closed. And you can’t go under the Washington overpass. All traffic on Washington Boulevard is being sent either North or South on the service road.

You can stay on the service road and hop onto Cardinal Drive (Hwy 69) or get back onto I-10 Westbound just before Walden Road.
