230 classic cars up for auction after 'unimaginable' find in the Netherlands

Some 230 classic cars are due to go to auction in the Netherlands in May, after what a gallery said was a “unique barnfind.” Gallery Aaldering said the owner of the vehicles, named as a Mr Palmen, started collecting classic cars about 40 years ago, but could no longer keep them “due to circumstances.” Included in the collection are classic cars from Maserati, Lancia, Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Jaguar, Aston Martin and BMW, the gallery said. The cars were being kept “under one roof” at a location in Dordrecht, the gallery said. Nico and Nick Aaldering of Gallery Aaldering said, “This barnfind collection is truly a unique opportunity for car enthusiasts and collectors around the world to expand their collection,” The cars are in “good condition and have stood the test of time very well,” the gallery said. “It is unlikely that anyone will ever see a collection of this caliber and in this condition again in their lifetime,” it added.
