Saturday morning Houston will be at 34 degrees, and many locations north of town will be right at the freezing mark. This will be a light freeze, which means our pipes and most plants should be fine. Bring your pets inside! If you have any seedlings or young plants in a pot, it’s not a bad idea to bring them inside.

New Year’s Eve weekend:
Saturday morning is our last cold start in the 30s before a weekend warm up. Saturday highs are in the mid-60s and we’re in the 70s Sunday. The cold front we’ve been tracking has slowed down. It won’t arrive until early Monday morning. That means we will not get rain New Year’s Eve. If we get showers they will arrive around 5am Monday morning, lasting through 7am.
