Sunshine makes for a fine Thursday in the Houston area

Thursday’s forecast:

A chilly start with morning lows sitting in the upper 30s to low 40s. However, more sunshine Thursday afternoon will push highs to the lower 60s for most spots.

Next storm system Friday:

Late Thursday night rain will begin to move into SE Texas. This system could have some storms that could pack a hefty punch for the morning commute.

The storms are expected early Friday morning. The afternoon is expected to be dry but chilly, generally in the 50s.

Severe weather threat Monday:

You are going to love our weekend. It’s dry and cool. But Monday is our next severe weather threat. These storms could pack a pretty good punch as they move through the afternoon and early evening.

10-Day forecast:

Depending on the timing, the storms Monday could put a damper in tailgating plans for the college football National Championship at NRG. Temperatures range from chilly to cool for the next ten days.
