Monday’s Messy Forecast:
Another western storm system moves in Monday so plan on extra time for driving! Look for morning rush hour showers lasting into the early afternoon.
Hopefully the morning showers can limit our instability for the afternoon, if not severe weather is possible. The cold front will move through our area starting with the NW counties as early as 2PM.
The cold front will pass through the metro between 4-7PM.
The cold front will reach the coast between 7-9PM.
There is a lower severe weather threat (level 2 out of 5). A few of the storms could be strong to severe with all threats on the table (damaging winds, hail and a tornado or two).
There is a low flood threat (level 1 out of 4). Although the flood threat is low – we saw widespread 1-4″ of rainfall last week, which means any heavy rainfall could lead to some runoff and street flooding.
10-Day forecast
After Monday’s storms temperatures lower Tuesday and Wednesday. We have another chance of rain Thursday and Friday of next week but these chances are much smaller than how we’ve started the year.
