Tonight’s Forecast:
A front passes through tonight bringing gusty winds and cooler temperatures for Friday. Houston will start in the upper 30s with near freezing temperatures in our northern cities.
Friday’s Forecast:
High in the 40s are back starting tomorrow and lasting through Sunday. We’ll also have strong northerly winds 10-20 mph with gusts 30 mph.
Saturday Morning’s Forecast:
A hard freeze watch has been issued from Friday night through Saturday morning for sub-freezing temperatures as low as 19° possible. The watch is in place for many counties north of I-10: Trinity, Houston, Madison, Walker, San Jacinto, Polk, Burleson, Brazos, Washington, Grimes, Montgomery, Northern Liberty, Colorado, Austin and Waller Counties. Keep your pipes insulated and your plants covered!
Saturday morning we will wake up in the upper-20s with areas north of Houston seeing the potential for another hard freeze.
Saturday Afternoon’s Forecast:
Saturday afternoon will be in the mid-40s. Sunday morning we’ll have another chance at a freeze before we warm up next week.
Flood Threat Next Week:
Starting Monday SE Texas moves into a storm track and it may be tough to get out of it. It appears we’ll get round after round of rain falling almost every day through the end of the week. We already have a moderate flood threat Monday. Our long range models also are showing a tremendous amount of rain through Thursday. We’ll keep you posted on this very important forecast.
10-Day forecast:
We are forecasting warm temperatures with daily rain chances next week. Plan on extra time for driving as flooding rainfall will certainly be possible. If you have flexibility to work from home, Monday would be a good day to stay off the roads.
