Texans will have to play in bitterly cold temps during Saturday’s game in Baltimore🏈 Here’s why we’re not worried

It will be DANGEROUSLY cold for the Texans in Baltimore

The game will stay below freezing with a kick-off temperature of 27 degrees. Factor in the winds and it will feel like 14 degrees to start the game. (Copyright 2024 by KPRC Click2Houston - All rights reserved.)

BALTIMORE – The NFL has seen a lot of adverse weather for the playoffs this year.

The Chiefs played the Dolphins last week in the fourth coldest game in NFL history at -4 degrees. The Bills vs Dolphins game had to be rescheduled due to a dangerous snowstorm. And unlike NRG where we have a retractable roof, at M&T Bank Stadium where the Ravens play there is no roof.

This means the Texans will have to brave the elements on Saturday for the game.

On Friday, Baltimore was under a Winter Storm Warning with 4-6″ of fresh snowfall expected and a high temperature right at freezing. Thankfully, all of the snowfall in Baltimore should end by 7 p.m. Friday but dangerously cold temperatures are expected for the game.

Saturday’s Forecast in Baltimore:

It will be a cold and windy game! The temperature at kick-off will be around 25 degrees, but factor in the wind, and it will feel like 14 for the Texans.

Winds will be from the NW at 15-20 MPH for the entirety of the game with gusts up to 30 MPH.

With winds consistently over 15 MPH, we can expect the Texans and C.J. Stroud to run the ball more instead of passing.

Although this forecast is dangerously cold, remember C.J. has experience playing in frigid weather, as he was the quarterback for The Ohio State!

We’ll have sunny skies with temperatures in the 40s.
