Monday’s:
A mild, breezy and wet start Monday. Widespread moderate to heavy rain that will stick around at least until sunset.
Early Week Rainy Forecast:
Starting Monday SE Texas moves into an unsettled pattern and it may be tough to get out of it. It appears we’ll get round after round of rain falling almost every day through the end of the week. The heaviest occuring for the first half of the week with linger rain chances to close out the week.
Monday morning looks to have a very messy commute.
The heaviest of the rain will continue to push to the east through midday.
Although most of the heavy rainfall will be in the morning hours, there can still be scattered showers and storms for the evening commute.
We have a moderate flood threat Monday.
Models are suggesting some areas could see up to 8 inches of rain Monday through Wednesday. Monday best chance for widespread rain, Tuesday rain and thunderstorms are focused north of I-10 and are more scattered in nature. Wednesday the heaviest of the storm sets up east of Houston.
There is no severe threat Monday, but there is a low threat for severe weather Tuesday. Our biggest threat will be damaging winds with small hail also possible.
