Peach Creek at Splendora faces minor flooding as NWS extends flood warning for Montgomery and Harris counties

The National Weather Service Office - Houston/Galveston issued a Flood Warning for Peach Creek at Splendora, affecting Montgomery and Harris Counties.

The warning is in effect until late tomorrow evening. Minor flooding is occurring and forecasted, with the river expected to rise to a crest of 15.7 feet late this afternoon.

Here are some additional details:

- At 10:00 a.m. Thursday, the stage was 15.3 feet.

- Bankfull stage is 12 feet.

- The river is forecasted to fall below flood stage late tomorrow morning.

- Flood stage is 14 feet.

- The crest is compared to a previous crest of 15.7 feet on 02/26/2018.
