Monday’s forecast:
Monday starts cloudy and then turns soggy as a line of scattered showers and thunderstorms moves west to east. Western counties see the first drops by 7 am, and Houston should see rain arrive no later than 9 am. The scattered showers and storms continue through late afternoon, with the best thunderstorms’ chance firing off north of Houston. Rain-free for rush hour with gradual clearing with highs in the mid-70s.
The severe threat is low in SE Texas, but there is a chance for strong winds as the line of showers and storms roll through. The strongest and most severe storms will likely fire off to the east of Texas.
Rain totals remain below half an inch.
