Today is sunny and hot with highs in the upper 80s. The next couple of days are great days to enjoy the outdoors because more rain on the way on Thursday.

Next round of strong storms Thursday:

After a two day break, storms roar back Thursday. Similar to our recent storm systems this one brings a high flood threat. The threat is highest for our northern cities but all of us have a least a street flood threat. We also have a severe weather threat. Damaging winds and hail are possible for all of SE Texas with the highest threat northwest of Houston. Right now, estimated rainfall totals are from 1-3″ are possible with higher amounts north of I-10.

There could be some lingering rain Friday but nothing severe is expected. Starting this weekend we head into a much more stable weather pattern that is storm free. But it is also a summer pattern with heat and humidity starting this weekend.
