Heat warnings this holiday weekend:

The reason for this oppressive heat is a dome of high pressure over southern Mexico. We’re on the outer edge of this high. This is doing two things. First, it’s keeps the severe weather north of us and second, it’s giving us a lot of heat. Temperatures climb to the mid-90s this weekend with the hottest day of the year expected Sunday and Memorial Day Monday.

Try to get outside early on Sunday, because it’ll be another scorching afternoon. The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for Sunday and Monday (Memorial Day) from noon-8PM. On Sunday it will feel up to 110 and on Monday it will feel up to 112. Take it easy out there and make sure you drink plenty of water!
