Monday’s Forecast:

Today will be hot and sticky with “feels like” temperatures near 103. We’re tracking the chance for a few isolated showers to develop in the late afternoon and evening.

A hot day Monday with feels like temperatures in the triple digits.

If you think it’s hot this weekend, it will only get worse, with expected feels-like temperatures of 109 on Wednesday. Drink plenty of water and get into the habit of always carrying a water bottle with you.

Houston is in for hot and humid days. It will feel like 100 - 107 this week.

Tracking The Tropics:

Tropical development near the Bay of Campeche continues to decrease; now, there is only a 10% chance of development. As the unorganized zone of showers and storms interacts with land, it will continue to weaken with no likely chances for development the chances for development. Tropical rain will remain well south of Houston.

The cluster of showers and thunderstorms continue to weaken as it interacts with land Sunday night into Monday. This will not develop into a tropical system.

As for the rest of the Atlantic Basin, we are seeing typical showers and storms and pulses of Saharan dust from Africa. The dust helps to minimize tropical development.

Rain chances stay minimal this week, but temperatures will continue to climb to the upper 90s, with feels like potentially reaching close to 110.
