Tracking the tropics:
Hurricane Debby is a category 1 hurricane that will make landfall Monday morning in the Big Bend of Florida.
Remember, the forecast cone shows us the forecast for the center of the tropical system. Often storms are very large which means we can see rain bands far away from the center. This means even locations near the cone will likely feel impacts.
However, impacts will extend throughout Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas. Expect deadly storm surge and historic flooding likely. Some areas could pick up over a foot of rain this week.
Another tropical wave is developing in the Atlantic. It has a 30% chance of developing over the next 7 days. Please continue to monitor this forecast.
10-day Forecast:
Spotty showers possible Monday but far from a wash out. Most of the next 10 days will be dominated by heat and humidity.
