Thursday’s Forecast:
HOUSTON – The excessive heat warning has been allowed to expire. Thursday a heat advisory goes into effect, lasting through 10pm. The heat index that has been above 113° the past three days. It will lower slightly ranging from 106° to a 112° tomorrow afternoon. Temperatures also lower by a degree or two with an expected high of 100°. We have been reaching 102° both Wednesday and Tuesday. There is a 20% chance for showers and storms during the afternoon.
Weekend Forecast:
By the time we get to the weekend our high pressure system weakens, temperatures lower some more and we have a small chance of storms. Friday our heat indices lower to 100°-105° and out of the heat advisory range.
Tracking The Tropics:
No tropical activity is expected in the next 7-days in the Atlantic. The next named storm will be Francine, but this is not likely within the next seven days.

Our weather pattern changes next week. Tropical moisture moves in, lowering temperatures and increasing rain chances.
