LIVE RADAR: Isolated thunderstorms popping up across Houston area

HOUSTON – The sizzling heat we’ve been dealing with the last couple of weeks is behind us, but we’re now getting pockets of heavy rain across the Houston area.

By the afternoon hours, rain moves south of I-10, becoming more scattered and widespread through the afternoon so keep those umbrellas handy.

The rain chances die down by the evening.
