Friday’s Forecast:
HOUSTON – Friday will start off pleasant in the lower-70s. We will have mostly sunny skies which will help us warm into the mid-90s. Factor in the humidity and we will feel closer to 100°!
Weekend Forecast:
This weekend will be warm! Temperatures will return to the mid-90s with heat index values reaching the triple-digits Saturday. For the late football games it’ll start warm, but be in the lower-80s by the end of the game.
If you can’t make it out to NRG Sunday you can watch the Texans on KPRC for Sunday Night Football!
Tracking the Tropics:
The tropics are active, as we expect to see in mid-September but thankfully there is no threat to the Gulf Coast. Tropical Depression Seven is 4,000 miles away in the eastern Atlantic and not a threat to the US at this time. This is expected to become Tropical Storm Gordon sometime soon as it drifts to the west.
There are also two regions with a low chance for development, neither a threat to us in the next week.
We’ll continue to monitor the other tropical waves as the Atlantic is finally waking up for the second half of the season.
10-day Forecast:
We are staying dry through the 10 day forecast! Highs will be in the 90s, but morning lows will be comfortable in the lower and mid-70s!
