Monday in the 90s

Feels like triple digits

Tracking the Tropics:

The tropics are active, as we expect to see in mid-September but thankfully there is no threat to the Gulf Coast. Tropical Depression Gordon will continue to pull north through the Atlantic stay far away from the United States.

Moving north this week through the Atlantic

There is a storm developing on the coast off the South Carolina coast, Potential Tropical Cyclone Eight. It will likely be upgraded to a tropical storm Monday and hold the name Helene. The storm moves quickly inland and weakens as it interacts with land. The impacts include tropical storm force winds, flooding with over 5 inches of rain forecasted to fall near the coast.

We stay dry. Highs will be in the 90s, but morning lows will be comfortable in the mid-70s! The start of fall is Sunday but it will still feel like summer here in SE Texas.
