Hot sticky Saturday with coastal showers

Humidity and temperatures rise while coastal showers are expected this weekend

Weather overview

HOUSTON – Residents in Houston woke up to a slightly warmer Saturday morning with temperatures in the mid-seventies compared to last weekend. However, the real story for this weekend continues to be the increasing humidity levels, which are expected to make the weather feel hotter than in prior days.

Coastal showers and potential thunderstorms

As temperatures climb into the eighties by 10 a.m., coastal showers remain a primary theme. There's a slight chance of showers across the region, particularly affecting areas like Lake Jackson and potentially leading to thunderstorms later in the afternoon. Residents should be prepared for cloudier conditions around the four o'clock to seven o'clock hours.

Upcoming weather changes

Houston will experience a 90-degree high on Saturday, followed by an even hotter and more humid Sunday with temperatures reaching 94 degrees, staying above average. Fortunately, relief is on the way, as the forecast anticipates a dip in temperatures by Tuesday, when cooler, more seasonable weather returns with highs back in the eighties and morning temperatures in the sixties.
