Tonight’s Forecast:
HOUSTON – We have dry air in place making for a comfortable evening. Temperatures will fall through the 70s tonight with some waking up in the 60s Tuesday.
Tuesday’s Forecast:
Although we will still be warm Tuesday, the big change will be in humidity. The front from Monday zaps moisture out of the air making it feel comfortable at least through Thursday.
Forecast highs will still be in the upper-80s Tuesday, but we won’t have to deal with a heat index. We will FEEL like the upper-80s with sunshine. It should feel warm, but nice.
Tracking the Tropics:
We’re tracking Major Hurricane Milton that is moving across the Gulf of Mexico. Right now Milton is a category 5 hurricane. It is expected to weaken in the Eastern Gulf, but it will still be a major hurricane when it makes landfall in Florida on Wednesday night.
The cold front that moved through Texas will serve as a blocker to Milton for Texas and help to tug the storm into Florida by Wednesday. You can see the fronts below, acting as a barrier for us.
10-day Forecast:
We will have dry and sunny conditions this week. You’ll notice our highs will stay warm in the upper-80s and lower-90s. There is no major cold front is coming anytime soon, but we’re always watching out for it! Don’t worry, we do expect to cool down eventually this month.
