Tonight’s Forecast:
HOUSTON – Today was a beautiful Saturday in Houston! We we’re close to record-breaking temperatures, but thanks to the slight break in humidity - it wasn’t uncomfortable outside. Tonight our lows will be in the mid 60s and tomorrow will be mostly sunny with our highs in the mid 80s and 90s.
Sunday will be slightly warmer than Saturday with highs in the mid 90s. Plus, we’re tracking a foggy start, so make sure to use your low-beams as you hit the roadways on Sunday.
Sunday’s Forecast:
It gets a little hotter Sunday with the high climbing to 94°. Several record highs are expected in our state.
Record high expected Monday:
This is expected to be the hottest day in the 10-day forecast. It could shatter the record high from 2015 of 92°. Tuesday is also expected reach the 90s before a cool front moves in late in the day. We’ve never hit 90° in the month of November so this could be our final week this year in the 90s!
Big changes to the cold front forecast next week:
Unfortunately for those of you waiting for sweater weather, the chill won’t be arriving next week. While the front is still coming, it doesn’t look as strong as it did yesterday. So instead of highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s, expect temperatures in the 80s during the afternoon and 60s in the morning.
Tuesday is October 15th, which is actually pretty seasonal for our first fall front to arrive. Last year and in 2021 our first big cold front arrived in Mid-October. The first real BIG one may have to wait until closer to the end of the month.
Tracking the Tropics:
Leslie is a tropical storm and moving east. A disturbance off the coast of Africa has a 50% chance of forming in the next 7-days. There is no immediate threat to the Gulf of Mexico.
10-day Forecast:
We need rain and the only chance is next weekend.
