Record high expected Monday:

This is expected to be the hottest day in the 10-day forecast. It could shatter the record high from 2015 of 92°. Tuesday is also expected reach the 90s before a cold front moves in late in the day. We’ve never hit 90° in the month of November so this could be our final week this year in the 90s!

Big changes to the cold front forecast next week:

Unfortunately for those of you waiting for sweater weather, the chill won’t be arriving next week. While the front is still coming, it doesn’t look as strong as it did yesterday. So instead of highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s, expect temperatures in the 80s during the afternoon and 60s in the morning.

Depending on cold front's timing and strengthen highs maybe in the low to mid 80s Wednesday.

Tuesday is October 15th, which is actually pretty seasonal for our first fall front to arrive. Last year and in 2021 our first big cold front arrived in Mid-October. The first real BIG one may have to wait until closer to the end of the month.

Tracking the Tropics:

A disturbance off the coast of Africa has a 30% chance of forming in the next 7-days. We are monitoring a zone of showers and storms across the Yucatan and Central America that could bring more moisture to the Gulf but at this time there is no immediate threat to the Gulf of Mexico.

A tropical wave continues to develop across the Atlantic basin as it moves west.

10-day Forecast:

We need rain and the only chance is next weekend.

Above average to more fall-like temperatures
