HOUSTON – Thursday will be wonderful! Highs will be in the 70s. Humidity will be low so it will be sunny and feel Fall-fantastic. Our winds will calm some.
Weekend Forecast:
Although temperatures will warm to the lower-80s, this weekend will feel really nice. Humidity is low and temperatures are actually very seasonal! If we have a high of 80° most of our day is spent in the 70s.
Eventual Warm Up:
We would love to say that this is the end of the above average temps as we’re getting deeper into October, however as we head into next week, the temperature trend for the week before Halloween will be a little too warm (think upper 80s) for most of us wanting to get a little longer taste of fall.
Tracking the Tropics:
There are two systems we are watching in the tropics. Neither is a threat to Texas or the gulf coast. The region in yellow will bring rain to Central America but will be blocked from coming here by our front. The region in orange could impact Puerto Rico, but then would curve north into the Atlantic (nowhere near the Gulf Coast).
Tropical season runs through November, but here in SE Texas we do not see tropical systems after our first fronts arrive. As the cold fronts get stronger, most tropical systems that form get blocked from entering the Gulf of Mexico and can have an impact on Mexico or the East Coast.
10-day Forecast:
We do not have any rain on the 10 day forecast, and we don’t have any 90° days either!
