Houston gets a brief break from rain chances Wednesday

HOUSTON – You can put that umbrella away today - SE Texas is getting a break from rain chances. Expect sunshine and highs reaching the low to mid-80s. You’ll also notice an increase in humidity by the afternoon.

Calm behind a cold front

Afternoon shower chances return on Thursday. Late Friday, a cold front will increase the chance of rain and thunderstorms.

10-day Forecast:

The same front steering Rafael east of Texas will also bring cooler temperatures to Houston by Sunday. Another cold front is expected next Wednesday, and this one could be our strongest fall front yet. We’ll keep you updated.
