Rain returns mid-week:

We are tracking a coastal low that will bring rain chances back in the forecast this week. A coastal low will ride up the Texas Gulf Coast first bringing chances for showers and storms late Tuesday night. It looks like we may not see rainfall until after 10PM Tuesday Night. However, Wednesday looks fairly messy as the low starts to move up the coastline, which will likely cause wet roads through most of the day.

Rain chances really ramp up on Wednesday as the low pressure moves into SE Texas. This day looks messy so plan on extra time on the roads.

Thursday will still see downpours from this low pressure system, especially in the morning. Showers are likely with a few embedded thunderstorms possible.

The Weather Prediction Center has put SE Texas under a low risk for flooding. Street flooding will certainly be possible, especially for low-lying areas and construction zones.
