We have been dealing with warm and humid conditions across SE Texas... but we finally have a big cool down coming! If you look across the state we have a massive gradient in temperatures, this is because of our cold front. In the panhandle temperatures were subfreezing this morning. Don’t worry, we won’t get to freezing temperatures but we will be in the 40s tomorrow morning. The cooler air is slightly delayed behind the front, but it’s coming!
A closer look across SE Texas shows the cooler air is already moving in! It’s moving in from the northwest and pushing towards the southeast.
It’s not just cooler temperatures, but it’s also a band of broken showers and storms. You can see heavier storms east of the Mississippi along the cold front. Here across Texas it’s mainly just showers.
A closer look across SE Texas shows the light band of showers moving through! Not only will we see a band of showers move through, but you’ll also feel a gust of wind as it passes. So far we have not seen any heavy showers, total rainfall accumulation has been minimal.
If you see showers in your area, snap a picture! We’d love to see it. Send in your photos and videos to Click2Pins.
