Tracking Rain:
Rain chances return to the forecast starting Sunday, with only a measly 20% chance of isolated showers, mainly staying north of Houston. This is due to a cold front that will stall just to our north. Monday follows suit until we get to Tuesday, where cold front #2 brings rain and thunderstorm chances up to a whopping 80% chance. We’ll continue to track the rain as we get into the end of the work week.
You can track radar here:
When all is said and done, southeast Texas could see anywhere from 0.50-1.75 inches of rainfall in areas north of Sugar Land and Pearland, while areas along the coast may only receive around 0.25 inches of rain. This won’t be a washout by any means, but you’ll definitely want to keep that umbrella handy over the next week.
10 Day Forecast:
Multiple cold fronts are forecast to push through Houston in the next 10 days. This will help moderate temperatures back to the 70s during the first half of the work week. Thursday looks to be the chilliest, with our low temperature in the morning only being in the 40s and daytime highs only reaching the lower 60s. We start to warm back up in time for Valentine’s Day and next weekend before another cold front slides through southeast Texas, bringing back a slight taste of winter.
